In a survey conducted of 118 CSU Stanislaus students:

48% of the students do not currently volunteer – of those that do not volunteer 30% said it was because they needed a paying job

Also from the survey, the top reason to volunteer was Giving Back to Society.

With volunteering you can Learn About New Careers and use it as a Stepping Stone to Getting a Paid Job, while still Giving Back to Society!
